Ward Priority Updates |
||
|
Good morning residents of the Brixton North Ward,
I hope this message finds you well.
Firstly I would like to thank those of you that attended our last ward panel meeting in April. The minutes of this meeting should be available in the coming weeks.
The team is currently working hard on the final details for our next meeting which is expected to be in mid-July so keep an eye out for the meeting notice/invite.
The team have communicated with the ward panel chair to agree some new adjustments for our ward priority's.
The ward priority's should follow a SMART format:
The Brixton North Ward should have a minimum 3 priorities which ward panel members set.
These priorities should follow SMART principles:
Being Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Timely. By setting priorities today, they can be reviewed in the next ward panel meeting and either stay as a priority, updated or new ones replace it.
The new priority's are as follows: Priority 1 - Set by the Safer Neighbourhoods Team Prevent knife crime and VAWG through proactive patrols and engagements across the ward
Priority 2 - Set by residents Reducing and targeting drug use in and around the BNT2 area and Oak square areas
Priority 3 - Set by residents Targeting ASB and dangerous dogs in and around Max Roach Park, St John’s Crescent, and Brixton terrace The ASB break down for this priority consist of drug use, street drinking, and aggressive begging.
Priority 4 - Set by residents Increasing engagement with young people, and community groups focusing on the Angell Town and Loughborough estates
If you have any ward queries for the team please contact us at BrixtonNorth@met.police.uk
Many thanks,
The Brixton North Safer Neighbourhoods Team
